A 2014 study investigated gene-expression patterns in rat cerebral cortex after experimental focal ischemia. Following Semax exposure, changes included immune- and vascular-related gene categories.
Time points and comparison groups
Measurement time points and the control group are part of the result. Injured tissue addresses different questions from healthy tissue. A transcriptome analysis measures many RNA signals; it is not a general demonstration of improved cognitive performance.
